Context
Support Federal Ministry of Health to improve monitoring and tracking of the support provided by different partners and stakeholders to FMOH and health sector in Sudan and therefore, contribute to improve effective development cooperation and advance progress towards attaining Universal Health Coverage with more focus on underserved and marginalized populations (IDPs, returnees, refugees, host communities, etc.)
Enhance resource mobilization and improve effective utilization of existing resources through development of national capacities in monitoring and tracking systems;
Task description
Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Health Systems Development Unit, and as part of a team the youth volunteer will support the Directorate General of Global Health in the Federal Ministry of Health to perform the following assignments:
Support development and implementation of external fund tracking system to generate regular information and reports to improve Effectiveness of Development Cooperation in health sector
Support mapping and establishment of a database for all partners and stakeholders
Support mapping of all aid being requested, aid being delivered, and gabs that require resources mobilization.
Facilitate data collection from donors and partners on their support to the health sector
Support compiling data from different sources using the designed software
Support preparing regular reports on Effective Development Cooperation in health sector
Ensure that reports generated are complete and meet the quality requirements.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 27 – 80
Nationality: The candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Requirements
Required experience
3 years of experience in • Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to 2 years) in health planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded.
• Technical Skills: MS Office (MS Word, Excel & Power Point).
• Desirable: Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with fast learning ability. Effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner. Ability to coordinate tasks to meet deadlines. Familiarity with WHO business process is regarded as an asset.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Medicine, public health, social sciences or any other relevant field.

Living conditions and remarks
The duty station is Khartoum, and as this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
